When you are hosted on the Internet or your computer is connected to the Internet, your computer’s IP address is linked to the computer’s physical MAC. I need to implement this in my current system using any kind of connection ssh, telnet, SNMP, etc. The MAC address, also called Media Access Control address, is a unique and separate hardware number of a specific computer, especially in a LAN (Local Area Network) or in other networks.
My initial idea is to make an script with will connect on all my switchs, one by one, and do some commands to discovery if the specific MAC address are connected to that switch or not.īy the way, I'm not interested in any software.
